Diagnostic and Lessons
The first lesson is a diagnostic. The diagnostic is designed to get to know the student, so the tutor can create individualized lesson plans that are specifically geared for that child’s success. Following the diagnostic, individualized lesson plans are created.
Diagnostic Report
Parents/guardians will be given a report summarizing where the child’s learning lies, and a brief idea of what the child will be learning in the lessons following.
Term Reports
Our year is broken into three terms: Sept-Dec, Jan-June, and July-August. Each term, tutors will fill out a checklist of concepts the student has learned, and whether the concept needs improvement, is in its learning phase, or has been mastered.
Monthly Reports
At the end of every month, the tutor will provide a report summarizing what was taught that reporting period. Students who come once a week will receive a report every two months.
Communication
After each lesson, tutors are given a few minutes to communicate any concepts learned, and/or any questions or concerns they have. This keeps the parents/guardians informed through the entire process.
One on One Tutoring
Individualized lesson plans specific to the student.
